After the death of Chewbacca in "Vector Prime", Han Solo entered a downward spiral filled with grief and rage, alienating his family completely. Several books later, Leia is severely injured in a fight with the Yuuzhan Vong, to the extent that she nearly loses her life. "Recovery" opens with Han watching over her in a Corellian medcenter, realizing the error of his ways yet uncertain as to how to fix everything. In the middle of everything going on, from discovering previously unknown Jedi to dodging assassins bent on ending Leia's life, recovery begins. Leia's legs are healed enough that she can walk again, and Han and Leia find that their relationship can be healed with enough work.
