In the Corellian sector, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Mara Jade are being held prisoner by the Human League, led by Han's cousin Thracken Sal-Solo. Thracken forces Han into a fight with a Selonian named Dracmus where Han is beat senseless. Later as he and Dracmus are in their cell together, they are broken out by Dracmus' fellow Selonians who then take them to a hidden Selonian spaceport. Leia and Mara manage to get access to Mara's ship, the Jade's Fire, and also manage to escape from the Human League. Meanwhile, Han and Leia's children are on Drall with their tutor Ebrihim and his aunt. Together, they find an underground chamber similar to one on Corellia. For a long time scholars have suspected that the Corellian system was created by an ancient civilization, and now this group have discovered a repulsor system large enough to move a planet. Because the New Republic fleet is in no condition to assault the Corellian system, Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian and Belindi Kalenda are sent to the Bakuran system to enlist the help of their fleet. On Sacorria, Tendra Risant discovers a large fleet massing for no apparent reason and so buys a small ship to go find Lando to warn him. Arriving at Corellia she encounters the interdiction field and begins transmitting on her old fashioned radio. Shortly afterwards, the four ships of the Bakuran navy arrive at Corellia and manage to break most of the way through the interdiction field using a prototype device. Unfortunately, one of their four ships is damaged beyond repair so the use it as a forward decoy as they advance on Selonia. Han Solo and Dracmus are also bound for Selonia in an outdated coneship, and Leia and Mara are also headed in that direction. As the forces converge, Tendra is able to finally get in touch with Lando shortly before the damaged Bakuran ship is obliterated by Selonia's fully functional planetary repulsor.
