X-wing: Solo Command

X-wing: Solo Command
Cover Artist: Paul Youll
This is the seventh book in the X-wing series of novels, and the final book in the Wraith Squadron storyline.

With the successful completion of their mission as the Hawk-Bat pirate force, Wraith Squadron has been assigned to the Mon Remonda to assist in the final search for Warlord Zsinj and the Iron Fist. Unfortunately, one of the members of the team was an intelligence operative for the other side before realizing the error of her ways and Zsinj wants her back. With the squadron falling apart and morale low, it is up to Wedge and his command team to refocus the task force on the hunt. Utilizing innovative tactics, Han Solo and Wedge are able to track down Zsinj and deal him a severe blow that will take him a while to recover from.

This is not my favorite X-wing book, but it does have many good qualities. We see the humour that is trademark with several of the characters, we get to see significant personal growth as Myn Donos confronts his demons and manages to heal himself, and we get to see a good demonstration of devious tactics designed to bring down a difficult enemy. In all, not a bad book.
