X-wing: Iron Fist
Aaron Allston
X-wing: Iron Fist
Cover Artist: Paul Youll
This is the sixth book in the X-wing series of novels, and the second book in the Wraith Squadron storyline.

Shortly after the successful completion of Wraith Squadron's first covert mission, they are called upon to infiltrate Warlord Zsinj's forces. They determine that the best way to achieve that objective is to get Zsinj's notice by posing as a pirate band. After several successful missions as the "Hawk-bats", their plan seems to be working when Zsinj contacts them to discuss the possibility of working together. Zsinj and his forces are going to perform a strike against the Kuat shipyards in order to steal a ship in construction there and Wraith Squadron will be instrumental in the success of the plan.

This book is very well written. Aaron Allston succeeds in making us care about the characters enough that when one of the characters dies in the middle of the book we really feel the loss. We also get to watch as a character grows from a hate-filled Imperial agent to become a full participating member of the team.
