Ania Solo's team arrives at a small planet surrounded by a minefield and on the surface Ania tries unsuccesfully to earn some money by riding and breaking a wild Yarthul. As her friends help her back to the ship, Jao Assam finds a a wanted poster for Ania, claiming she murdered an Imperial Knight. Jao asks her why, if she is innocent, was she hiding out in the Carreras system. Before she can explain, their ship is hit by something in the minefield. They find the point of the hit, which has an odd amount of carbon scoring, but their repair droid is distracted by a wreck in the debris that has someone alive on it. They go to rescue the survivors and discover an old friend of Ania's named Ramid. Jao and Sauk return to their ship to get supplies for repairs, and Ramid's ship suddenly powers up and breaks free, firing at them and setting off a mine. They escape the minefield with their prisoner, leaving Ania's team to wonder why. While they make repairs and consider where Ramid went and whether Ania even wants to be found, Ania learns that Ramid is bitter over being left for dead and his crew is taking her in for the reward. Unfortunately, they used up too much fuel on a cold hyperspace jump and have found themselves at a small world with a very hostile environment. As they prepare to descend through the dangerous clouds, a ship appears out of nowhereand attacks them, killing the pilot. No one else can fly the ship so Ania is forced to take the controls. She crashes, but they are alive as a bounty hunter emerges from the other ship and demands Ania reveal herself. Back on AG-37's ship, Ania's friends argue about what kind of a person she is, since she was once in a prison camp. After a brief image of Han Solo and Chewbacca from "too far back", AG-37 plays an image from his memory of when he found her after her escape from the camp. And explains that it didn't matter what she had done, as she was a Solo and he had made a promise to a Solo once. Jao has a hard time coming to terms with Ania's past as a prisoner until Sauk and AG-37 convince him that the past is the past and doesn't change what she has done for them, and so he agrees to at least give her the chance to explain herself. At the crash site, Ania sets a med droid to try and help Ramid and then attacks the bounty hunter. Incapacitating her, she flees into the ruins where she runs into the local wildlife. Before she can escape from them, the bounty hunter captures her and returns to her ship. As they prepare to board, Ramid appears on a speeder bike and rescues Ania, saying that he is her best hope at the moment. On Coruscant, Imperial Knight Yalta Val feels like something doesn't add up about Ania's supposed crimes and so after confronting the Empress he decides to dig into Ania's past himself. On the planet of the crash, Ania's friends find the crashed ship but have to retreat to their own ship while AG-37 continues the search on his own when the planet's deadly precipitation begins falling. As Ania and Ramid take shelter under their speeder bike they discuss their past in the Sith labor camp. Ania tries to make hm understand that she left him behind because there was nothing she could do and that when the camp was liberated and she couldn't find him, she thought he was dead. She apologizes for everything he suffered because of her, and as the storm lets up they make their way to the settlement. At AG-37's ship, Sauk and Jao get a message from Val and he explains that whoever murdered the Knight had to have had a high-end prosthetic hand and that Ania is 100% biological, so something doesn't add up. AG-37 finds Ania and Ramid at the settlement and the crew goes to meet him there, but in the settlement Ania finds that everyone has been murdered by the bounty hunter who then attacks her and kills Ramid. Before Ania can be taken though, Jao arrives and attacks the bounty hunter allowing Ania to escape into a new storm, this one of acid. She is rescued by AG-37 but he is unable to help her further, due to damage from the acid. The bounty hunter defeats Jao and finds Ania. Capturing her, she reveals that she was a guard at the labor camp who assumed Ania's identity in order to escape punishment for her crimes. She later killed the Imperial Knight, and her intention is to replace Ania's biological hand with her own prosthetic one. She is stopped just as Imperial troops arrive to take Ania into custody. She is taken before a tribunal and Master Val tries to provide her with a defense, but without evidence it doesn't go well until Jao arrives with the hand that killed the Knight. Ania goes free, but Jao is imprisoned for desertion, the penalty for which is death. In prison, Jao is then approached by Darth Wredd, who gives him a chance to escape those who imprisoned him.
