The Lost Tribe of the Sith has gathered together to hear what the Sith meditation sphere "Ship" has to say to them. It explains that in order for them to take their rightful place in the galaxy, they need to begin assembling a fleet. In order to do that, they with use the sphere to begin pirating ships and repair the Omen. Ship selects the crew to go with it and the apprentice Vestara Khai is selected along with a few Lords. Following Ship's instructions, they succeed in forcing a ship to the ground whereupon they set off to kill the crew. Before Vestara is given a chance to make a kill in the Sith way, she is sent back to the ship to guard it, where she finds a hiding slave captive. She gives the slave the chance to die with dignity and when she refuses, Vestara kills her first person. Shaken, she realizes that she didn't even know the name of her victim and Ship suggests that she give her victim a name. Vestara calls her "First" because she will be the first of many.
