In the aftermath of their escape from Coruscant, Cade Skywalker, Jariah Syn and Deliah Blue return to the pirate Rav's stronghold with Chak and Kee to help them recover their ship. With that accomplished, they decide to lie low for awhile on Iego with Cade's uncle "Bantha" Rawk. Arriving during an attack by Black Sun, they help to fight them off, unaware that they have been followed by a bounty hunter named Azlyn Rae. As they are taking their ease and relaxing, the news off the slaughter at Dac reaches them, also outing Cade as a Skywalker and a Jedi. Azlyn Rae joins them and reveals that she used to be a Jedi before the Sith rose up. With the knowledge that Cade is wanted, the members of Black Sun who escaped reported his presence with Rawk prompting an Imperial attack to find him. He is hidden by his family until the Imperials leave, and then he leaves for a previously unknown hidden Jedi temple to get support for his plan to kill Darth Krayt. Azlyn Rae passes on the message to her true masters in the Imperial Knights as she goes to join Cade.
