This story cuts back to the start of the Legacy arc and shows the events that transpired to bring down the Galactic Alliance. We see how the Sith work in secret to bring about the downfall of first the Galactic Alliance and then the Emperor in order to put one of their own on the throne. Mostly what we're given though is an insight into how quickly political allegiances can change, and for what reasons.
