After Cade Skywalker's fighter was destroyed over Ossus, he vowed to leave the Jedi life behind forever. He became a very accomplished pirate and then bounty hunter, and his crew never suspected that he was once a Jedi. This all changed when Emperor Roan Fel's daughter, Marasiah, along with a Imperial missionary named Astraal Vao boarded his ship with a Sith Assassin hot on their heels. Cade agreed to take them to their destination, knowing that they could collect the bounty on her and her father and be set for life. Things very seldom work out according to plan though, and Cade soon found himself in a pitched battle with the Sith, fighting at the side of his former Master, Wolf Sazen. The group managed to escape the Sith and returned the Princess to her father, but now Darth Krayt is aware of the existence of a Skywalker, and wants him alive.
I felt this was a phenomenal start to the "Legacy" series. This story arc is complete, yet there are still unanswered questions that can be answered in future issues. The main character has grown considerably since we were first introduced to him, but there is still a lot of room for growth. I have grown to like him, with all his faults, and it was satisfying to see him take up the lightsaber of the fallen Marasiah and turn on the Sith.
