You know the story. Everybody knows the story. But what if the story changed - even just a little? What would happen to the characters? What would happen to the Star Wars galaxy?
With these fateful words, we are given a fascinating glimpse into the what-if's of the Star Wars universe. The premise for the "Infinities" line is: change one thing, just one minor thing, and see where the story now takes us. In The Empire Strikes Back, that one minor change was the early death of Han Solo's tauntaun. As a result, Han finds Luke in time to be told to go to Dagobah and find Yoda before Luke dies.
I liked this story, but I didn't feel like it was as good as the story for A New Hope. Still, it did have it's bright points. My favorite part of the story was near the end, when Yoda enters the mind of Darth Vader, seeking to heal the man buried within. We watch as Darth Vader is broken down bit by bit until all that is left is the child, Anakin Skywalker, and still he is the evil Darth Vader. A well done story, but not as good as the other two.
