Before they were inept Rebel Officers, Tag Greenly and Bink Otauna were apparently inept Jedi Learners. Granted Force powers thanks to the meddling of Darth Plagueis, Tag & Bink were accepted as Jedi by the skin of their teeth, but they were never able to quite succeed as Jedi. While studying for a test, they accidentally deleted the file with Information about Kamino on it shortly before Obi-Wan Kenobi came looking for it, and in order to escape getting in trouble for their actions they boarded a freighter bound for Naboo. Coincidentally, this was the same freighter that Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala were aboard. They make a deal with Anakin, where he won't rat them out and they will help him woo Padmé. When Anakin rushes off to Tatooine, they find themselves hitchhiking back to the Jedi Temple and arriving in time for the execution of Order 66. They encounter Anakin one more time and he cuts off their Padawan braids and tells them to get out, and if he ever sees them again he'll kill them.
